Spiritual is one of the four wings of the Sri Sathya Sai Sarva Dharma Samanvaya trust (the other three being selfless service (Sociocare), Meidcare and education in human values). This page will discuss various aspect of the Spiritual program, which includes devotional singing (bhajans), study circles, prayers, and meditation.
Most of the parents of the students studying in Sri Sathya Sai Vidyaniketan participate in many spiritual activities through which the school is trying to transform the parents through their children.
The charter of the Sai Organization says that every member should undertake sadhana (spiritual discipline) as an integral part of daily life and abide by the following Code of Conduct:

  1. Daily meditation and prayer.
  2. Devotional singing/prayer with family members once per week.
  3. Participation in Sai Spiritual Education by children of the family.
  4. Participation in community service and other programmes of the Trust.
  5. Regular attendance at devotional meetings conducted by the Trust.
  6. Regular study of Sathya Sai Baba literature.
  7. Use of soft, loving speech with everyone.
  8. Avoidance of talking ill of others, especially in their absence.
  9. Practice of the principles of “ceiling on desires”, consciously and continuously striving to eliminate the tendency to waste time, money, food, and energy and utilizing any savings thereby generated for the service of mankind.
